A true celebration of family and the great outdoors, hosts Emily and Adam honored their one-year anniversary on the weekend of the summer solstice in the natural setting of Deerfields. The focus was on creating a festive vibe filled with relaxation, fun, positive energy, community and nature – a real destination escape for guests. Originally from the Northeast, they were married the previous year on Emily’s family land in Maine. After relocating to Asheville, they gathered with friends and family to enjoy a weekend-long event that included camping, swimming, feasting and an afternoon competition with mini-Olympic lawn and water games. Guests could take an afternoon break from swimming or the bounce house to enjoy an ice cream cone or milkshake from The Hop. Everyone met at the open air chapel in the forest during late afternoon where Emily and Adam reenacted their wedding ceremony. Later, a huge bonfire lit up the night sky and provided guests with a sweet evening treat. The dance party lasted all night with Bright Light Entertainment providing the tunes. Guests were given the option of camping or staying in one of the two cozy cabins located on the property. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were provided by a collection of local caterers and food trucks. The 940 acre property was all theirs all weekend, and was as perfect as the weather!
