What a charming day this was at the Sourwood Inn. This place is truly a unique retreat that was meant to sit perfectly on the hilly terrain of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s quiet. It’s serene. It’s tucked away – the epitome of what Western NC has to offer. Like most of our mountain venues, isolation also comes with proximity and easy access. The day’s celebration might as well have been the only thing going on in the world that day, as the Sourwood accommodates all guests at an intimate wedding. There is a cottage, twelve private rooms, a large indoor/outdoor dining area, a porch with a view, and 100 surrounding wooded acres. Minimal adornment was added to the landscape of the Inn, and the result was a cozy, chic vibe. The indoor and outdoor space was fully utilized and allowed the day to flow from a garden ceremony to a porch cocktail hour, photos in the woods, and then dining and dancing. A wedding celebration and a mountain getaway all wrapped up in one sweet package!
