This was fun! “Full of energy” is how it felt throughout the afternoon and well into the night. Everyone travelled from out of state for this event, including some of the vendors. Just goes to prove that our town truly is a destination, and the great collection of private, non-traditional venues can personalize any couple’s vision of their wedding celebration. The simple color scheme was fresh and clean, and Mother Nature pitched in as she usually does around here! The bride and groom each brought soil from their respective mothers’ gardens to ensure that their wedding dogwood tree received plenty of green thumbs. This ceremonial tree (with blooms of the NC state flower) eventually found it’s permanent home in the couple’s Louisville, Kentucky yard.
