One can simply feel the fun-spirited love when scrolling through these pictures, but it was very tangible on that sunny afternoon at Old Sherrill’s Inn. This perfect match went to school at Warren Wilson College just down the road, and Old Sherrill’s Inn was a special place to them long before they tied the knot. Family and friends gathered the day before and the morning of to assemble flowers in old jugs and vases, string handmade bunting in every direction of the tent ceiling, pull a tightrope between two trees, and prepare for camping on the grounds later that night. The manicured boxwood in the gardens of this homestead provided “outdoor rooms” for each phase of the day’s festivities. The games and local ice cream definitely added to the backyard family feeling of this celebration. And, dancing lasted into the night under the stars, leaving guests wondering, “when can we do this again?”
