Megan and John had no idea where they would say their “I do’s” when they first started planning their wedding day. Megan, an anesthesiology nurse and John, a neurosurgeon knew that they wanted a beautiful and special place they would remember fondly for many years to come. Charleston, West Virginia, where the couple resides, was experiencing an emergency water shut down after the city’s major water supply became contaminated. After spending several days without water, Megan and John decided it was the perfect time to visit Asheville. They chose to stay at the Inn on the Biltmore Estate and couldn’t have picked a better place. The sheer beauty and elegance was captivating, and it was then, that the couple knew that the Biltmore Estate would be the perfect place for their wedding. The ceremony took place in the old dairy barn at Deerpark. The bride walked down a beautiful candle lit aisle to the sounds of Braidstream and the groom’s two daughter’s served as the wedding party. Preceding the ceremony, guests were asked to sign a drawing of the Biltmore Estate that served as the guest book before heading to the patio for cocktails and passed hors d’oeurves. Dinner included a jumbo, lump crab cake for the appetizer, a strawberry parmigiano salad, and a filet of beef tenderloin and bacon wrapped scallops for the main entrees. The sounds of A Social Function kept guests on the dance floor all night. The couple danced the night away before being whisked away in the Blue Corniche. It was a very happy day for all.
